Someone asked me once, how come we get such beautiful brides? Tough question. I’ve also been asked if we screen them first? Of course NOT! Truth is, we’re just lucky! Very lucky! All our brides are beautiful and Michelle is another proof to that, and please don’t forget our grooms. We’ve got some fine looking grooms too, Ryan here for example. These two make a good-looking couple which makes our work so much easier.

The wedding party was a riot! These guys know how to liven up a party, and they were all just as beautiful too! They had FUN! and we had fun capturing it all along with their rockin’ photographer Justin Element and his team. This was a wonderful finish to our busy back-to-back wedding weekend..

It was close to one o’clock in the morning of the wedding day when I got an e-mail from Chris, our groom, saying he was still awake and had a last minute request. He had a surprise gift for Donna and he wants to make sure we capture her reaction when she gets it. I thought, that’s easy, I just have one problem… See, I forgot to turn off the notifications on my iPhone that night so his e-mail actually woke me up in the middle of the night and I could not go back to sleep…nice. So, as things were going through my head, that’s when the idea of using his e-mail as a plot for our same day edit came to mind. So, forgetting the thought of getting more z’s, I decided to just play with my camera and iPhone 3GS (yes, I still have a primitive 3GS). Took shots of his e-mail on my phone hoping maybe I can use ‘em when editing time comes, just hoping.. =)

But anyway, it was a lovely wedding in Orange County. The weather was perfect. The wedding gown’s train was staggering. I swear, I thought the end of Donna’s train was still outside when she reached the altar. It was the longest one from all the weddings we have covered by far, and it was beautiful, just like our couple. Their priest, Fr. Orlando Valino, is a good friend of the bride. He came in from the Philippines just to do the ceremony and flew back to the islands the next day. Together with local Fr. Michael Veneracion, they held a very intimate ceremony at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Orange.

A downtown Los Angeles wedding in two of the city’s finer venues. The Cathedral Of Our Lady Of The Angels, aside from being a tourist attraction, is just grand and magnificent for weddings. Western Ceremony: Westridge Golf Club. La Habra.

This was our first Cambodian wedding. A two-day affair that we totally enjoyed filming. Day one was tough ’cause we didn’t understand what they were saying for the most part of the Cambodian ceremony, so we had to roll most of the time so as not to miss even a hiccup and make sure that all important events were captured. We were very delighted though by the colors, the rituals, the food ( lots and lots of if! ), and the costume changes. It was astounding! We finally got into our comfort zone on Day Two as it was a modern western ceremony held beautifully outdoors at the Westridge Golf Club in La Habra. Same day editing was a slam as we had tons of footage from the day and the day before. Just browsing through them was really rough. Best scene, I must say, was the vows. Both a tear-jerker and a comedy as our couple and their guests cried as they say their promises to each other and our groom-Andrew’s use of a poster board held by one of the bridesmaids to read his vows from. Quite creative. And all our hard work for 2 days paid off after the showing of the same day edit video in front of over 400 guests at the reception. It was a HIT! Lina and Andrew’s SDE is now our most viewed video online.. Thank you and congratulations Lina and Andrew!

A gift of time. This is what this day was all about, our couple’s promise and gift to each other. Sweet! As symbols, they gave each other watches to remind them of this day and their promises. The classy Shutters On The Beach in lovely Santa Monica Beach was the perfect setting for this beautiful exchange of vows between Doctor Michael and Nurse Millie. You can absolutely see their faces filled with joy as they celebrate this big day with their loved ones.

Michael and Millie, they say everything in time grows old and weak… but not true love, it’s forever.

We started the day at dawn for an early morning ceremony and lunch reception at the Turnip Rose. I met our couple, Eric and Annalyn, in person only on their wedding day. Both working long hours as nurses never gave us the chance to meet up, which I truly regret. Such a nice couple. I still remember the very warm welcome from our bride when we entered the room where she was getting ready. She later sent an e-mail sharing how they met and telling their beautiful love story. A couple very much in love, truly warm at heart and looking absolutely gorgeous on their wedding day. I have to admit being touched witnessing her coming down the Turnip Rose’s winding stairway crying as she was about to meet her teary-eyed groom. It was a very emotional moment for everybody. Beautiful raw emotions. Thank you Annalyn and Eric.

Our last wedding for 2011… Fun, exciting, and challenging. Fun ’cause we had the nicest people around us. A wonderful couple. Our dashing groom, Carlo, is in the Navy and nurse Katrina is our lovely bride with her three beautiful sisters as bridesmaids . Great family and friends. Very warm hospitality and a perfectly organized affair, thanks to Kat’s childhood friend and best buddy Hanel. Exciting because the location was down in beautiful Fallbrook (San Diego County) near the Indian casinos and, of course, the wineries of Temecula.=) Challenging ’cause it was an early morning wedding and with a real tight schedule for our same day edit. But the real challenge was getting up at 4am after coming down very late on the eve of the day. The day went by fast though, or it seemed like it… I guess cause we were having such a great time. Thank you again Kat, Carlo, family, and best friend Hanel for the very warm Pinoy hospitality. Here’s our Same Day Edit, done in 3.5 hours flat with animation taken from the couple’s save the date.

We started filming weddings four years ago and May’s sister was one of our very first clients. That time she was the maid of honor and I still remember how she was the funny, crazy one during the preps. I also remember editing her sister March’s Same Day Edit on top of the reception hotel’s grand piano in the lobby just ’cause we forgot to make arrangements to have a table provided for us for editing, quite a memorable experience and it all turned out well. Four high definition years later today, we’re back with doing May’s BIG DAY. Let me quote one of her comments on one of my FaceBook post after she booked us early this year. In the post she said, “I didn’t have a boyfriend yet when my sister got married and I already made a mental note to get you as my videographer!” We love you too May! and we did get around those church scaffoldings! =)

This was a one lovely wedding held at one beautiful old church in Los Angeles, St. Brendan. And the reception, another historic and luxurious venue, The Millenium Biltmore Hotel in the heart of downtown. Exceptional event coordination was by Kevin Covey.

Beautiful couple + beautiful venue = beautiful wedding! Laguna Beach, though it was a cloudy day, was still perfect for Leah and Lawrence’s day. Seven Degrees, the reception venue, was amazing! Artsy and classy!
Laid back, cool, totally relaxed, and of course, stunningly beautiful is how we would describe our bride, Leah. Lawrence.. the guy’s the sweetest thing. The two make a perfect pair!. Lovely people all around and a nice song to top it off for the same day edit. They now hold the record for our most viewed SDE. Thanks and congratulations Leah and Lawrence!

When Tina booked us for her wedding early this year, she only had one song in mind for her Same Day Edit film..”Marry Me” by Train. A great wedding song and I think if there was a wedding song of the year award, hands down, this is it. A beautiful ceremony was held at The Crossings At Carlsbad with great attention to details. It was a nice sunny day with beautiful people surrounding our lovely bride and her dashing groom. Congratulations Tina and PJ. We wish you both a happy, long life together.

We had a blast filming this day, a lot of great people and a lot of unique presentations. Reception was at a private mansion up in Covina Hills with a live mariachi band and “food trucks”, YES, food trucks for catering! Told you this was one unique wedding! A very nice ONE too! A lovely day for Angelica and Alvin. Being in love is one beautiful thing and it showed in the eyes of our beautiful couple as they walked down the aisle and exchanged “I DOs” at St. Denis’ altar. A wedding in Eagle Rock with the reception following in downtown LA. Choosing the song from the couple’s list was tough for us cause we wanted to do a fast-paced Same Day Edit. But, the clips we got together on the day actually blended pretty well with our couple’s song choice for the edit. Here’s the film we showed at their reception..
