Ceremony and Reception: Wedgewood Fallbrook. Fallbrook, California
Photography: One Two Snap Photography
Make-up: Marlou Colina
Coordination: Hanel Jacinto

Our last wedding for 2011… Fun, exciting, and challenging. Fun ’cause we had the nicest people around us. A wonderful couple. Our dashing groom, Carlo, is in the Navy and nurse Katrina is our lovely bride with her three beautiful sisters as bridesmaids . Great family and friends. Very warm hospitality and a perfectly organized affair, thanks to Kat’s childhood friend and best buddy Hanel. Exciting because the location was down in beautiful Fallbrook (San Diego County) near the Indian casinos and, of course, the wineries of Temecula.=) Challenging ’cause it was an early morning wedding and with a real tight schedule for our same day edit. But the real challenge was getting up at 4am after coming down very late on the eve of the day. The day went by fast though, or it seemed like it… I guess cause we were having such a great time. Thank you again Kat, Carlo, family, and best friend Hanel for the very warm Pinoy hospitality. Here’s our Same Day Edit, done in 3.5 hours flat with animation taken from the couple’s save the date.

11.19.11 May + Gerard

Ceremony: St. Brendan. Los Angeles
Reception: The Millenium Biltmore. Los Angeles
Event Planner: Kevin Covey

We started filming weddings four years ago and May’s sister was one of our very first clients. That time she was the maid of honor and I still remember how she was the funny, crazy one during the preps. I also remember editing her sister March’s Same Day Edit on top of the reception hotel’s grand piano in the lobby just ’cause we forgot to make arrangements to have a table provided for us for editing, quite a memorable experience and it all turned out well. Four high definition years later today, we’re back with doing May’s BIG DAY. Let me quote one of her comments on one of my FaceBook post after she booked us early this year. In the post she said, “I didn’t have a boyfriend yet when my sister got married and I already made a mental note to get you as my videographer!” We love you too May! and we did get around those church scaffoldings! =)

This was a one lovely wedding held at one beautiful old church in Los Angeles, St. Brendan. And the reception, another historic and luxurious venue, The Millenium Biltmore Hotel in the heart of downtown. Exceptional event coordination was by Kevin Covey.

Thank you May and Gerard, it was a pleasure to be a part of your special day! Here’s the same day edit we showed at the reception.

Beautiful couple + beautiful venue = beautiful wedding! Laguna Beach, though it was a cloudy day, was still perfect for Leah and Lawrence’s day. Seven Degrees, the reception venue, was amazing! Artsy and classy!
Laid back, cool, totally relaxed, and of course, stunningly beautiful is how we would describe our bride, Leah. Lawrence.. the guy’s the sweetest thing. The two make a perfect pair!. Lovely people all around and a nice song to top it off for the same day edit. They now hold the record for our most viewed SDE. Thanks and congratulations Leah and Lawrence!

Ceremony: Concordia Lutheran Church
Reception: Los Coyotes Country Club
Event Planners: Melle Amore
Song: “Brighter Than The Sun” by Colbie Caillatt. Buy the song here. Licensed through SongFreedom

One beautiful bride after another! Someone asked me if we screen our brides because they’re all so beautiful. Of course not! Guess we can say we’ve just been very lucky. Or, if you really think about it, when someone is happy and in love, there’s that’s radiance that shows that enhances their beauty. And please don’t forget our handsome grooms!!

Our couple wanted a fast-paced, happy song for the Same Day edit. Which also says a lot about their happy-going personalities. What better than this Colbie Caillat song. Nice choice guys! Congratulations again!

Ceremony and Reception: The Crossings at Carlsbad
Preparations: The Sheraton Carlsbad

When Tina booked us for her wedding early this year, she only had one song in mind for her Same Day Edit film..”Marry Me” by Train. A great wedding song and I think if there was a wedding song of the year award, hands down, this is it. A beautiful ceremony was held at The Crossings At Carlsbad with great attention to details. It was a nice sunny day with beautiful people surrounding our lovely bride and her dashing groom. Congratulations Tina and PJ. We wish you both a happy, long life together.

Cheers!

09.10.11 Nina + Leonel

Ceremony: St. Dominic Church. Los Angeles
Reception: Marriott Los Angeles
Photography: Micah & Megan

A wedding in Eagle Rock with the reception following in downtown LA. Our couple were not allowed to say their own vows in this very strict Catholic church, so we decided to somehow incorporate it, or actually, make it the framework for our same day edit film. This way they can always look back and hear what they’re hearts truly wanted to say to each other on this, their special day. Congratulations Nina and Leonel.

09.03.11 Michelle + Bryan

Ceremony: St. Lorenzo Catholic Church. Walnut, California
Reception: Hyatt Regency Long Beach

Our bride, Michelle, was a Los Angeles Laker girl during the Laker’s last back-to-back title wins..and Bryan, her groom, is a big Laker fan and also her biggest fan. Well, I guess, almost every single one in the room that night was a Laker fanatic, including myself and and our team. So, to our beautiful Laker couple.. thank you so much for having us capture your special day and congratulations!!! Like winning back-to-back championships, you GOT YOUR RINGS! side by side..

Choosing the song from the couple’s list was tough for us cause we wanted to do a fast-paced Same Day Edit. But, the clips we got together on the day actually blended pretty well with our couple’s song choice for the edit. Here’s the film we showed at their reception..

Venue: The Summit House. Fullerton.
Photographer: Aileen Secord Photography

Back at the Summit House in Fullerton for the second time this year. First time for a ceremony venue and we were amazed by the nice view it provided for this wedding. Our couple are from back East and we only got to know them through phone calls and e-mails, ’til this their wedding day, but we always thought they were a nice looking pair, very sweet too. Sure enough, we were right…quite a beautiful pair and they were just pleasant to work with. Congratulations Jennifer and Brian. Big props to the team of Aileen and second shooter, Jonathan, of Aileen Secord Photography for the beautiful stills. 07.15.11 Gessica @ 18

Venue: The Langham Huntington. Pasadena.
DJ: Eugene Macala

We’ve known Gessica since she was a baby. Making us feel ancient! Gel’s always been that sweet, adorable, witty, bright kid who topped her class every year, a pride to her Mom and Dad. The always polite, always delightful and cheerful, and of course, very beautiful girl we all called Gel is now 18 and is heading off to college (not far though, much to the delight of her parents).
In Filipino culture, when a girl turns 18, more often than not, a big lavish party is thrown for her to, sort of like, introduce her to society. This was what it’s all about, the debut of Gessica, now a woman and about to enter a new, exciting phase of her life as a young adult.
Thanks of course to the Mom and Dad, Ge & Che, for having us as part of this milestone in her life. I’m sure they would like to thank all their great family and friends from here and out of state, specially those from Hawaii and Jersey, who came to to celebrate with us. To the amazing DJ from San Jose, Eugene Macala, for bringing down the house (OH YEAH!)…. and to everyone who made this possible for our sweet Gel.
Unfortunately, the special video/same day edit we presented at the party is only for private viewing. If you know Gessica well enough, then you should know her Mom’s maiden name, which is the password to our video.

Happy 18th birthday again Gel and good luck with college!!

We feel so blessed to be a part of this very special event. Jessica and Chad’s wedding tops the chart in elegance and style. We were in awe as we entered the reception ballroom of the Hyatt in Newport Beach with the magnificent preparation and planning of one of OC’s premiere wedding planners, Mele Amore Events. The setting was just absolutely perfect for our lovely enamored couple. FUN and PARTY was the theme of the night, as our couple and their guests rocked the night away with awesome live performance from Wayne Foster and his band.

06.10.11 Cristina + Roger

Ceremony and Reception: The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel
Event Coordinator: Jessica Kaufman, Just Chic Events
Photographer: Sarah Rico
DJ: Ian Gotler, Red Shoe LA

When our bride sent us a list of possible songs to use for their Same Day Edit, I was excited to see one of my favorites on their list. While it was a list of five, I somehow knew already which one was on top of that list, “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. And in my thought, it had to be the acoustic version…and definitely my own remixed one too. Though excited to work on the edit, this was one of the toughest to pull off. The ceremony finished late at almost 7pm with our SDE showing scheduled at 10:20pm. We managed to finish 20 minutes late…what?!!! Yes, 20 long minutes behind. But seeing our couple and their guests’ reaction after the showing was both a relief and comfort. They’re happy, we’re happy. Thank you Cristina and Roger for bearing with us. Yours was a beautiful celebration filled with beautiful people and a great atmosphere.

Again, we thank our jolly and beautiful couple, for putting their trust in us and the wonderful accommodation from their families. Lots of thanks to Jessi Kaufman of Just Chic Events. Also, very grateful to Gary of Swank Audio-Visual at The Ritz Carlton for being on the ball and for setting us up for our presentation.

It was a great evening of a beautiful union. Here’s Cristina and Roger’s Same Day Edit.

06.04.11 Aleli + Randy

Ceremony: St. Denis Church. Diamond Bar
Reception: Westin Hotel. Costa Mesa
Photographer: Jason Zalameda
Event Coordinator: Serenity Events

“They look so young, and so beautiful..” Heard that a few times at the wedding and…true, very true! Aleli, in her lovely Vera Wang gown, and Randy, with his boyish good looks, made for a very charming couple. The church and reception venues were also very nice locations. St. Denis, though strict, is still a favorite. Big props to photographer Jason Z and his team, Jason Zalameda Photography, for picking a nice spot for our couple’s pictorials at the Santa Ana Train Station. Thanks to Caroline Cheng and Serenity Events for working patiently with all of us all day.

Event Coordinator: Michelle Groom. Melle Amore Events
Photographer: Casey & Andrea Figlewicz. Figlewicz Photography
Make-up: Sharleen Carlos
DJ: John Villa. Dance Syndicate Entertainment

I know we’re a week late in posting this and I truly apologize, it’s been a real busy week. Specially to our couple (probably coming back from Costa Rica as I’m posting this) who’s two of the sweetest and most sincere people we have ever worked with. It was a great day with the remarkable coordination of Melle Amore Events, lead by one of our favorites, Michelle Groom. A nicely secluded La Habra Heights mansion was the location for our bride’s preparation. Photography was exceptionally handled by the husband and wife team of Casey and Andrea Figlewicz with first-rate make-up by Sharleen Carlos and crew. And not to forget, DJ John Villa’s mastery of bringing down the house with excellent hosting and control of the dance floor as our couple and their guests partied the night away at The Summit House in Fullerton.

Josah and Ronnie, we had a great time working with you both. From the making of your love story film to the actually wedding day. Thank you for your complete trust in us. We wish you the BEST and here’s your Same Day Edit again….
